Caryn Alexis Crozier's voice has been hailed as having "a rich core with a sparkling bloom in its upper register." She has a Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Appalachian State University and is a Doctoral Candidate at West Virginia University. Her favorite roles while in school have been; Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), Rose Maurrant (Street Scene), and Anna 1 (Seven Deadly Sins).
Ms. Crozier has had the privilege to perform principle roles in many of Mozart's most famous operas with Blooming Voce Summer Opera (Die Zauberflote), Portland Summer Opera (Le nozze di Figaro), and Toronto Summer Opera (Don Giovanni). She also enjoys doing outreach work with WV Opera-on-Wheels, singing in such children's operas as Mystery on the Docks and Papagayo.
Ms. Crozier's regional credits include: Eugene Onegin (Tatyana), La Rondine (Bianca), Gianni Schicchi (Lauretta), HMS Pinafore (Josephine), The Grand Duke (Julia), Yeoman of the Guard (Elsie Maynard), The Gondoliers (Gianetta), and The Enchanted Forest (Soprano Lead/Lover).
She recently made her Czech language debut singing Lezni zinky in Vivace Opera's production of Rusalka in Vancouver, BC and was a Resident Artist with Finger Lakes Opera in Canandaigua, NY.
Caryn's upcoming engagements include singing Marguerite in Undercroft Opera's production of Faust and as a Guest Soloist with the Winston-Salem Girl's Chorus.
